Upgrading
From Accelerator for SageCRM
If you have been using the "classic" ouitlook client there are some things to know before you upgrade.
- . Firstly CRM Together will support both the classic and new clients for the next year which will be July 2022 as of writing this. So there is no panic or rush to migrate.
- The new client requires SSL. This means that your CRM url must be using "https". Most browsers now really push this and as security is becoming a bigger issue by the day we think all our customers and partners should get this.
- For the Outlook 365 support Microsoft require that SSL is used.
- CRM Together host the core applciation which is a web application so we can update this at any time. The outlook client updates are easier to roll out and users will see a message to update the client. This is the same as on your mobile smartphone where it tells you an update is needed. Users do not need admin permission to install the add in or its update.
- The new client looks different and it is a completley re-written software base. Its not quite the same as Sage CRM and has some differences
